“Be Thankful”
Luke 17:11-19 Psalm 92:1
This time has been set aside to give thanks. So, on this Thanksgiving Day, take the time to give thanks unto the Lord for all that He has done for you.
Thankful – to be grateful or appreciative; having a deep expression of gratitude.
Every one of us, has something to thank the Lord for. It may be your health, finances, family, job, shelter, clothes on your back or food on your table.
Take this time, to count your blessings, and name them one by one. This will help you see how grateful you should be.
In Luke 17:11-19, Jesus dealt with ten lepers who needed to be healed. At that time, leprosy was considered an incurable disease. These ten lepers cried out to Jesus for their healing.
Jesus told them, to go show themselves to the priest, and while they went they were cleansed.
Only one, when he saw that he was healed, turned back to give the Lord thanks. He was very appreciative. Jesus then spoke these words, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine.” The nine did not display an attitude of gratitude. Don’t allow this to be you.
So, on this Thanksgiving Day, be thankful.
