The Daily WORD by Bishop Ronald Hardy, Sr.

“Keep the Faith”

Romans 4:17-21

Our responsibility, in this Higher Calling season, is to keep the faith.

Abraham had to keep the faith in the midst of his higher calling journey based on what God promised him, even though the odds were stacked against him. (Verses 19&20)

The Word of God says that we walk by faith, not by sight.

Why is this so important? Because, the appearance of a thing does not always determine the outcome of a thing. That is why you cannot get caught up in how a thing may look.

Remember this, the Lord will do the performing. You just have to keep the faith. (Verses 20&21)

Why? Because, he cannot perform what you do not have faith for. Matthew 13:58 says that He did not many mighty works there, because of their unbelief, or a lack of Faith.

Faith is an action word. So, He cannot perform what you are not willing to take action for.

Abraham had to continue to take the proper action, so that God could give him the promised seed even when he was considered too old. (Verses 19&20)

Why could Abraham do what he was doing even when the odds were stacked against him? Because, he was strong in faith. Faith is defined as, having a complete trust or confidence in someone or something. That is why verse 21 says that Abraham was fully persuaded that what He promised, He was able to perform it.

Faith will keep you in the right frame of mind for God to move on your behalf. So, you must keep the faith.
