“Becoming Fruitful”
Psalm 1:1-3
I believe that there is a desire in all of us to be fruitful.
We should want to be fruitful in life, or live a life of fruitfulness.
Fruitful – producing fruit; producing in abundance; productivity; profitable.
The Word of God teaches us that God intends for us to become fruitful.
Verse 3 says, “We shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”
The opposite of fruitfulness is to become barren
Barren – not producing, incapable of producing or unproductive.
The Lord never intended for us to live unproductive lives.
How do we become productive in life?
- Allow the Word of God to become your guide.
Psalms 1:1-2 says, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law or word of God; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.”
David said His word was a lamp unto his feet and a light unto his path. Allow the Word of God give you the direction you need.
- Be diligent.
Diligent – having a persistent effort to accomplish something.
Proverbs 10:4 says, “He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
- Have a plan of action to accomplish your goals.
James 2:17 says, “Even so faith, if it hath not work or action is dead, being alone.”
I believe that this is a season for you to become fruitful. Please know that the Lord wants you to be fruitful.
