“New Opportunities”

Revelation 3:7 – 8

When the Lord opens a door for us, it represents a God given opportunity.

Opportunity – a suitable time; the right moment to take action toward a definite goal; a favorable combination of circumstances

Pay close attention to the new opportunities that the Lord is making available for you at this time in your life, because it is up to you to take advantage of this right moment to take action.

When I speak of new opportunities, it means that the Lord is giving you some opportunities in this season that you didn’t have in last season.

Here are a couple of things that you have to be careful with:

  1. The counterfeit. Not every opportunity is a God given opportunity.

So, pray for discernment during this time, because the counterfeit is designed to get you out of the will of God.

A God given opportunity will line up with His will and His word. He will never contradict His word. This is why it is so important to know His word.

  1. He will never open a door of opportunity in your life that will take away from Himself in your life.

Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Make sure that He is in the right place in your heart, because some opportunities are designed to pull you away from Him. Continue to honor Him with your life by keeping Him first, and He will continue to open doors for you. These will be opportunities or doors that no man can shut.

Remember that it is up to you to take full advantage of the God given opportunities.

This is a time of new opportunities in your life.
