“There is a Payback Time”
The Prophet Isaiah foretells of the deliverance of the Jews out of Babylon, which would eventually result in them returning to their homeland.
It was promised to them that the decayed areas would be repaired, and they would be called the Priest of the Lord. They would also inherit the riches of those who did not know the Lord, and receive honor and joy for the shame and sorrow that they went through.
When I think about the word shame, I think that it represents being disgraced, embarrassed or humiliated.
Many times this shame may have nothing to do with what you did or did not do.
Ask Job or Paul and Silas about it. There was nothing that they did to cause the shame.
My word to you today is, “The Lord has kept the books, and there will be a payback time.”
In verse 7, God assures His people that they would receive double for their shame.
“For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.”
Wherever the enemy has tried to disgrace, embarrass, or humiliate you, please know that there will be a payback time.
