Be Careful of What You Speak”
Proverbs 18:20-21
Why is this so important? Because, your words have power.
This is what the writer is saying in verse 21, when he says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat of the fruit thereof.”
Please know that your words have power. This is why you must be careful of what you speak.
The devil tries to invade our thoughts to get us to dwell on and speak the wrong things into the atmosphere. You are either producing life or death by the power of your words.
Proverbs 18:20 says, “A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.” Fruit is tangible evidence. So, your life is going to reflect what you are speaking. Be careful of what you are speaking.
Proverbs 15:23 says, “A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth.” This is why you must get up and approach your day by releasing the right words into the atmosphere.
You ought to wake up saying, “This is the day which the Lord hath made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.”
