“The Wisdom of God”
James 1:5
We are living in a time where wisdom is very important to our well being. So, as we walk this walk of faith, let’s ask the Lord for wisdom.
James says, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally.” This means in a large or generous amount.
We all need wisdom to function at an optimal level.
We also need wisdom to make sound decisions.
Wisdom – the soundness of action or decision with regard to the application of experience, knowledge, and good judgment.
Wisdom gives you the ability to make good decisions.
Knowledge without wisdom is no good. You need to be able to apply what you know.
Here are a few key scriptures on wisdom:
Proverbs 4:5&6 “Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of thy mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.” Wisdom is a protection unto you.
Proverbs 14:1, “Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.” Wisdom can work to help construct your life.
Ecclesiastes 2:26, “For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner He giveth travail.” Stay in the right place where you can continue to receive wisdom from God.
If you are going to live in victory, you are going to need the wisdom of God operating in your life.
My final scripture James 3:17 says, “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.” This is the wisdom we all need to be operating in our lives.
