The Daily WORD by Bishop Ronald Hardy, Sr.

“A Spiritual Renewal”

It is very important to stay connected at this time, because God is trying to do something extraordinary in your life. He wants to do something that is very unusual, remarkable or amazing in your life, but you must stay connected.

This is why there is a need for a spiritual renewal. It is important to recognize that our flesh can get in the way of the will of God. (Romans 8:5-8)

Our natural way of thinking or reasoning can also get in the way of the will of God for our lives. (I Corinthians 2:9-14) When you are in this state, God is revealing, but you are not receiving it. When a fish is out of the water, it begins to slowly die. Once we are out of the water of God’s word, we become spiritually dead or we lose our spiritual zeal.

When you are in this state, your spiritual appetite is also gone. There is no spiritual hunger or thirst in you anymore. Then, your flesh or natural way of thinking kicks in, and stops you from doing what you know He told you to do.

Let me reference the water of God’s word. (Ephesians 5:26) The word of God is like fuel in our tank. You have to keep putting fuel in the gas tank of a car for it to stay full. If you don’t, eventually it will become empty. You have to keep filling up on the word of God. (Romans 10:17) When the fish is put back in the water, before they die, they begin to be fully alive again.

I want to encourage you to give yourself to a week of Spiritual Consecration. (I Peter 2:5) A time of prayer, fasting and the word of God to get your spiritual focus back. Pick some days to fast this week to 3:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.

This is your time of a Spiritual Renewal.
