The Daily WORD by Bishop Ronald Hardy, Sr.

“The Greatness of God”

Psalm 96:4         Psalm 145:3

This season in your life represents the greatness of God in your life. It also represents what He has done for us, in us and through us.

That is why the writer says in Psalms 126:3, “The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.” Are you glad about what the Lord has done for you in this year?

In St. John 14:12, Jesus says, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” Have you thought about the great things the Lord has done with you?

He then says in Philippians 2:13, “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.” I know that you are not what you used to be, because He has worked a mighty change in you. He has changed things about you, that you could not change about yourself.

It is remarkable what the Lord has done. Think about what He has done for you this year. I am sure that nothing can compare to it. He has done some remarkable things this year, and you need to give Him some praise for it. That is why the writer says in Psalms 96:4, “For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised.”

Then in Psalms 145:3, he says, “His greatness is unsearchable.” In other words, He does things in ways that you will never be able to figure out how He did it.

Here are my final words to you today. He wants you to expect His greatness to finish something for you in this year that is of great significance to you. Philippians 1:6 says, “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Whatever He starts He will finish it. Remember that He is great, and greatly to be praised.
