“The Lord’s Rest”

Matthew 11:28-30

The Lord wants you to experience a rest in Him. It is hard for you to experience a rest when you are putting unnecessary pressure on yourself.

In these scriptures, the Lord is making a call or invitation to come unto Him. This is the key to truly experiencing a rest. This is the action that you must take. Come unto Him.

In other words, make the connection with Him, and He will give you rest. Never get too busy where you cannot make a connection with Him.

There is a divine rest that is released to those who come unto Him.

In Isaiah 63:11-14, it talks about the spirit of the Lord causing him to rest. This divine rest represents an inner rest.

Rest – to cease from work or movement in order to relax or refresh oneself; to be put at ease.

Jesus tells them in Matthew 11:28, “Ye that labour and are heavy laden.”

Labour in the Greek, means to feel fatigue by working hard, or by toiling as to be weary.

Heavy Laden in the Greek means to load up as to be overburden as to weigh someone down.

If you are found in this place, there is a divine rest if you just come unto Him.

In my closing, Acts 3:19 says, “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.”

This is your time to experience the Lord’s rest.
